Mindfulness is a scientifically proven practice dedicated to being mindful (or focusing) on the moment at present. Life is full of anxieties about the future and worries over the past, but mindfulness help to center our attention on what matters: right now. This practice has been studied for decades now, and the results are remarkable. Mindfulness has been shown to increase focus and clarity, improve memory, and promote self-insight and awareness. With such a connection to oneself comes a sense of empathy and compassion, and so it should come as no surprise that those who practice mindfulness enjoy more satisfactory relationships throughout their lifetime.
Mindfulness has also been shown to significantly lessen the effects of stress, anxiety, and depression on the brain as well as the body. It promotes emotional regulation, which helps us to be less reactive and more responsive at any given moment. All of these benefits are accessible to anyone who practices mindfulness with patience and dedication. As the experts say,
